In 2016 it seems like there was really this idea that there was a Reckoning that there was this big group of white working class ignored by the Democratic Party and Trump had successfully catered his politics to try and help that constituency.

And in 2024, maybe Trump was seen as weak enough that. A bunch of billionaires could come in and coopt that movement to their own ends, completely leaving behind the coalition that made Trump popular in the first place.

There’s a part of me, maybe in retrospect watching this happen that empathizes with the original goals of MAGA and is sad to watch them completely abandoned.

On the contrary, it's not been "completely abandoned" at all, this is and always has been the MAGA plan.

It's sad to me when I think about all the legislation that the US has passed or not passed that purposefully keeps the majority of it's citizens poor and under educated, but when you study it, it creates the perfect pathway for such easy manipulation of so many who just bought into the classic lies and political rhetoric of fascist white supremacists. People in the US really need to rethink their blind 2 party politics if they aren't white supremacists.

However, if you're a billionaire Nazis or one of their lackeys, America will most certainly be great (again? the lies start somewhere) for you, so maybe you just forgot to ask the simple question of "for who"... MAGA for who?

If you're not a Nazis (maybe you are, IDK you), I suggest you read as many books, study history and educate yourself and others as much as you can before this practice is banned by the regime because the longer it goes on the harder it becomes to fix.

Remembering what my WWII veteran great grandfather used to tell me, "The only good Nazis is a dead Nazis and the only way to end fascism is though total annihilation and extermination." Have you helped terminate a Nazis to day?
